Plus Size Clothes

Plus - Outrageous Wear

I have a question, and if anyone is able to answer it I would really appreciate it. I am confused about this whole plus size clothing thing on a couple different levels. First of all what chauvinist male came up with that name? Plus size just sounds so unflattering. Men don't have plus size clothing sections. No they just have bigger sizes. Or they can go to stores like Big and Tall. Just once I would like to see a plus sizes sign hanging over the men's section of the store.

Second exactly who and what determined what size constitutes a plus size? Does it vary from store to store? I honestly think someone just sat down one day and arbitrarily said anything over this size will be considered a plus size, and who cares about the women who have to shop in that section. I always thought the whole thing was a little humiliating. I mean most people are not proud of being on the larger side, but to have a whole different section of the store set aside with a big side hanging over it declaring you to be overweight must be humiliating.

The entire situation is only worsened by that fact that there seems to be a distinct lack of cute fashionable plus size clothing. So not only do you have to shop under a large sign declaring you to be overweight, but you also have to look over at the smaller section and realize how much cuter all those are. Mostly it seems unfair.

Now don't get me wrong there are a few good stores that have nice plus size clothing. Lane Bryant is one for example that has some really nice stuff, however the majority of stuff I see out there looks at least 5 years old and not like something anyone would be rushing to buy.

Where can I buy visual kei/ punk in New york city?

I'm kinda on the big side and I really love visual kei so I was wondering if there were any of them in plus size. I wear a 2x sometimes 3x in clothes (Female). If there arent any visual kei stores in NYC are there any websites that sell them?

Hiya! ^-^

I am here to attempt to help you! :D

First off, I can't say I know New York City too well...

BUT!

I did come across an "Online shop" (via eBay) that does sell Plus Size Visual-Kei/punk clothing (because I have the same problem too, I like need a size bigger than a Large sometimes too)

J Punk Rock style clothing:

http://stores.shop.ebay.com/J-Punk-Rock-style-clothing__W0QQ_armrsZ1

Although, I must say that shipping is quite PRICEY and shipping may take up to 2 or 3 weeks (possibly 4) depending on where you live because most of these items are coming in from Hong Kong.

I've yet to buy from this seller (want to SOO BAD! xD) but judging from his eBay feedback, he/she is a great seller (@ 99.6% Positive Feedback)

but indeed this seller sells plus sizes (because he/she is awesome! XD in my opinion)
Such as this AWESOME 3XL Punk dress :3

The seller also has a size chart on each listing, so be sure to measure and see if the item will fit or you need a different size and if the auction or listing is for the wrong size you can either look through the sellers other listings or email the seller and he/she will put up another listing in YOUR size just for you :D

The seller also does CUSTOM sizes if you notify them by mail and they will make it for you (takes about 5~7 days roughly)

The seller also accepts Offers, so that dress (linked above) could possibly be purchased for less, maybe an offer of $40.00 even.

Above all, I think the only downside to this is how long shipping is and the COST of shipping... -_-;

Hope I helped a bit! ^_^
